PJ Cozens building services engineers

For the past 30 years, PJ Cozens have occupied an office suite in the beautifully converted Saint Matthews church in the centre of Norwich, over looking the cathedral. The office is staffed by Phil Cowthard, electrical designer and project engineer and Simon Youngman, mechanical designer and project engineer. Both engineers attend professional meetings and training courses on the latest regulations and technology.

Mr P.B. Cowthard, Senior Engineer

Mr. P.B. Cowthard has had 33 years engineering experience, including 23 years in the building services industry and 7 years in shipbuilding. He has worked on a range of building developments from nursing homes and churches, to manufacturing warehouses.
Some of the electrical and associated schemes which have been designed and installed under his direction include, site electrical MV network, sub-station LV installations and electrical infra-structure schemes.

Mr P.B Cowthard is a Registered Engineer with the Engineering Council, a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (I.Eng. M.I.E.T), an Affiliate Member of the Society of Light and Lighting and a member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers.

Mr S.J. Youngman, Mechanical Engineer

Mr S.J. Youngman, has been with PJ Cozens since leaving college and has over 20 years' experience in the building services industry. Specialised in Mechanical Engineering, Mr Youngman has completed designs and inspections on heating schemes, air conditioning schemes and sustainable designs. These designs have been completed for historic buildings, churches, office blocks, sheltered accommodation and more.

Mr S.J Youngman is a Registered Engineer with The Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and the Engineering Council. He is also a CIBSE national committee member.
