St. Michaels Church, Reepham, Norfolk

The aim of this award winning project, was to refurbish a medieval grade II church to provide a warm community space with good lighting and enhancement of the chancel area. The existing kitchen and toilet areas were refurbished, a new mezzanine floor added for meeting and office space, energy efficient lighting was included, a ground source heat pump and underfloor heating scheme installed.

North Norfolk Tourist Information Centre, Cromer

PJ Cozens were appointed to develop this eco-friendly and contemporary building, which includes a solar thermal hot water system, to assist in reducing emissions of CO2. The system provides 50% of the buildings annual hot water requirement. Also completed for this building was a ground source heat pump, ventilation, lighting, power, lightning protection, intruder alarms and fire alarm schemes.

Garvestone and Thuxton Village Hall, Norfolk

The aim of this project was to replace a cold damp timber hall that had become un-maintainable. Initially involved during the early stages of the project to provide technical advice and budgetary costs, PJ Cozens were also appointed to provide sustainable and low energy technologies. These consist of a ground source heat pump, wind turbine, two monodraught windcatcher ventilation systems and underfloor heating.
