Theatre Royal, Norwich PJ Cozens completed electrical and mechanical services for the refurbishment of the newly named Kemp's Restaurant at Norwich Theatre Royal. Improvements to the lighting and lighting controls providing scene setting facilities were one of the areas that we were involved with, to provide a modern and warm feel to the space. Alterations to the various services around the restaurant, toilets and servery area were also required.
PJ Cozens completed the replacement of the existing heating boilers, which had served the building for nearly forty years. It involved working within the existing lower ground plant room, in a limited space with awkward access for removal and replacement of equipment. Controlling the installation, so noise breakout did not affect the theatres summer shows.
We have also installed a new vertical warm air curtain in the main box office foyer. The system has been very successful with positive comments from the Theatre Royal staff.
